Last year I travelled to Nepal trekking and climbing to 6200m (yeah…6km), the trip was truly ‘life’ changing in a slow burn way. In re-telling stories of the adventure, the scale and achievement of the journey is re-triggered. So…to share the time with more of you, some photos from the trip.
For the tech/photo focussed folk – these were all shot on a Panasonic Lumix point n shoot.
Enjoy. Namasté.

It’s always great when friends move closer. One such friend is Chris Rogers from Pedal Cyclery.
Together with his partner Jenny, these two will no doubt find themselves quite at home with the Melbourne, cycle, coffee, food and music culture.
It’s a pleasure to have them here.
Pedal Cyclery specialise in building new bicycles from second hand and new components.
Offering high quality, simply styled, competitively priced bicycles for those interested in cycling as a primary mode of transport.
Each bike is built using quality selected second hand, refurbished components as well as newly manufactured parts where necessary.
The result is a fusion of new and old to produce robust bicycles that not only withstand the rigors of daily use, but express their own unique style.
In addition to building and selling bicycles, Pedal Cyclery offers custom modification including frame powder-coating, wheel repairs and gearing conversions.
They also provide general servicing including practical advice on setting up your ride for improved comfort and performance.

The massive earthquake and subsequent tsunami that hit Japan are horrendous and heart-wrenching, and our thoughts are with the people of that country as they cope with the aftermath and the terrible losses they have suffered.
To make matters worse, the terrifying natural disaster has sparked a human-caused crisis, as radiation leaks from crippled reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, sparking fears of a meltdown.

I was lucky enough to listen to (and briefly meet) David Suzuki – yep…cross that off my list! – at the Big Debate of the 2011 Sustainable Living Festival (Melbourne) last night.
His constant message of needing to remember we are part of a huge biosphere is both haunting, daunting and a truly magical delivery – with amazing amounts of potential for change. Life in sacred balance. If only everyone could understand…it’s just the way it is. (more…)

The WWF – a new file format – is a PDF that cannot be printed.
It’s a simple way to avoid unnecessary printing. So here’s your chance to save trees and help the environment. Decide for yourself which documents don’t need printing out – then simply save them as WWF.
Simple, effective.
